So our band is planning to use Rock Band Network, and to get myself used to the charting I tried this song out. I wish there was an Expert+ mode. :P

So far, this is only the chart, without Overdrive or anything like that. There is a drum solo, but the preview window won't display when it comes up, so I've annotated it in the video. You'll have to forgive the quality; this was done on my laptop, which doesn't have the software my desktop does. In the future, I'll finish up the guitar chart for this song and reupload a video of both charts playing simultaneously.

I changed the RBN preview window's color scheme by simply finding the file in REAPER's directory and editing the picture in Photoshop. I guess technically you could photoshop any image file in the directory, but I wasn't really fond of the light blue background. :P Anyway, enjoy.

  • Why didnt you put in all of the bass notes on the intro? I thought at first you did it just to make the chart more playable but then i saw all the way faster harder bass notes in the rest of the songs

  • @iiMSoGoNe I see what you're saying, honestly this was the first drum chart I tried to put together, since our band will be using this in the future. A proper RBN file would have the drum tracks singled out though, whereas here I could only go by the master, so in that respect charting any instrument (besides the vox, heh) out would have been more difficult than usual.

  • @biohazard71 Oh alright, yeah thats understandable then. I've never charted anything for RBN, i just have it to play all the awesome charts people like you make. Whats the name of your band? I'd like to check them out, and hope to see some more good charts from you in the future. This is charted very well, i just thought i'd see why all the somewhat slower bass notes of the intro werent charted. Keep up the good work

  • @iiMSoGoNe Thanks man. Our band is A Forgotten Force; we have a Myspace and Facebook, though the Facebook gets updated most often. Right now 3 of us are in college, heh, but we write and practice when we can. Once I work out recording methods and whatnot, we'll have new stuff up, which should be relatively soon.

  • Great job, I thought it was spot on and I play expert + drums so my comment actually means something unlike the people who are moaning and bitching. Keep up the good work. What's your bands name?

  • @CorvetteAustin24 Thanks. :) Our band's name is A Forgotten Force; we have a Myspace and Facebook, if you wanna check it out. Much of the online stuff has been moving relatively slow though, since we're working on originals at the moment, heh.
