For more info on the cooker used in the video, visit
http://www.bbqs.com/cart_admin?func=viewProduct&wid=78&cid=1026&p...

The pig weighed 100lbs and took about 10 hours to cook. It was seasoned with a variety of fresh ingredients inside and cooked over charcoal with several apple wood logs added throughout the cook.

All in all, its one hell of a cooker. Look for us to cook some beef hips soon.

  • how much would an average whole pig cost? i like to spit roast one for my inlaws and family at a camp ground. it sounds so tasty.

  • @outbacktraveler It all depends on your region, and the time of year. Typically, pork prices are higher in the summer months in North America. Best bet is to call your local butcher, or hog supplier, and ask them.

    Thanks for watching!

  • No problem hurrrrdurr. I considered a vegetarian diet once, but it turns out you are not allowed to hunt vegetarians !
