brothers and sisters....mashAllah very true words....im a new convert and i would like to ask for help if anyone knows any good websites or videos on how to pray and what does it mean when you say something is halal???? help is very much appresiated given that i dont really know any practicing muslims arround...thanks.

Yes, please look on my channel, I have 7 series of videos that teach you how to pray. Halal means what Allah has made permissible, for example halal foods, like chicken (if slaughtered properly) :)

while haraam means what Allah prohibited, like pork

JEEZ a half a date is 33 calories?! I didn't know they were that fattening. If you eat about 106 of them that's a whole pound you got there. :P

I am not Muslim, however I've been trying to educate myself on the religion, because I do believe that there is something else out there. Islam seems to make the most sense to me out of all of them.

It's videos like these, that make me think that I'm going in the right direction. So, thank you to both Half Date and Baba Ali for this.

Praying is most important when you become Muslim, just accept Islam and learn everything after. You are good enough for Islam, you need to accept Islam, and EVERY Muslim in the world is not good enough yet, that's why we're still alive, to get chances to get closer to our Creator Allah. Follow your feeling to become Muslim, and Allah will help you understand the religion

Islam is simple and easy, as it is created for us as a medicine by our Creator, Allah. Praying is the first step, but as you learn to pray, study what you are saying, don't just memorize. Making the five times salah each day will help you figure everything else out. But study it, study the words, read ahadeeth about prayer, the health benefits of the positions, the benefits of mental health in memorizing Qur'an, etc...may Allah help us all on the path

Im in the same position as Zombieducky2...except im further along...im a revert...or will be soon...

im just so confused and stuck...i know that islam is the truth and i can never turn back but i don't know how to proceed...there's the shahadah...and then what...my family is muslim but i can't get any straightforward answers other than- "learn to pray"...i try but i become so overwhelmed that i put the book down and out of sight...any advice?
