Unsubscribe is a movement of people united against human rights abuses in the 'war on terror'. Thousands of unsubscribers have now joined up. The threat of terrorism is real, but trampling over human rights and abandoning our values is not the answer. From Guantanamo Bay, Rendition, Torture and Waterboarding -- we unsubscribe.

  • If you think about it, torture increases the danger for our troops and our people back home.

What would you do if a family member or friend was tortured?

Plus torture never results in useful information except on tv.

KSM would have confessed to killing Lincoln, especially after they tortured his two little boys.

  • Send all the terrorists to Amnesty Int. and let them handle the terrorists, see what happens.

Their last words while be hacked to death will be "Waterboarding is NOT torture, remember me as a gullible idiot"

You might also hear, "Terrorists are people too"

  • Better watch out--terrorists gonna get you--there's one over there, and another one over there, and there's another one...

  • it's interesting how this waterboarding issue has nothing to do with anyone other than liberals who are just chasing themselves around in circles about it..

  • What makes you think it's only liberals who are against torture?

You haven't heard what McCain and many Republicans and conservatives have said about it.

One way of protecting our troops has been to have the moral high ground on the issue of torture. Losing it has placed our troops in greater danger.

Liberals like Bush like seeing our troops in placed in danger.

  • Torture doesn´t work because a tortured person would say ANYTHING to stop the torture.

IF you draw infos from a tortured person you might never know if he told the truth.

The whole "we prevented attacks by drawing infos using torture" is just propaganda...which attacks were prevented?

Don´t believe everything your government tells you, or you´ll end up in the "4th Reich", bro.

  • Thank you Amnesty International, for telling it like it is!

  • amnesty int sucks just like the pro life peole

  • looks like you have no idea what you are even talking about

  • We must admit that although the American civilization lacks historical experience in comparison with older ones; when it comes to torturing, the U.S. agencies easily compete with the Spanish inquisition of the Dark Ages...Way to go for your creative thoughts...!

  • haha...you're american...right?

  • Also torture is what gives Al Qaeda new recruits.

Al Qaeda thanks the Bush government for promoting their cause......

  • Torture doesnt work.

Fanatics are MUCH more likely to lie(worse than say nothing) or stay silent till they die than tell the truth under torture.

While innocent people may be forced to lie about being terrorists and that disorients the "anti-terrorists"even more

  • To 1wsufan

No physical or mental long-term damage?

Say that to doctors who have examined the long-term effects of waterboarding-and check wikipedia once and a while

  • where did you hear that?

  • information which by the way was obtained prior to water boarding.
