MVP had one of their worst performances at a global Championships in recent years, taking home only one individual medal from the Daegu World Athletics Championships, held August 27 -- September 4.

Melaine Walker was the lone medal winner after pocketing silver in the women's 400m hurdles, the event she won before at the previous edition in Berlin, Germany.

Since then, several questioned Stehpen Francis-coached MVP's training strategies as top athletes Asafa Powell, pulled out in Daegu because of injury; dethroned women's 100m hurdles champion Brigitte Foster-Hylton, Kaliese Spencer, the favourite for the 400m hurdles title; Walker herself and Ristananna Tracey, who trained with the group then, went into Daegu not 100 per cent.

In an interview with Trackalerts.com last Friday, at CVM Golden Glory (Olympic Games 2012) launch, Powell disclosed that his training Group, MVP Track Club, has moved slightly back to old style programmes.
