  • "and in 1925 there was no such thing as color"

That's right. Colour did not exist in 1925. The whole universe was made entirely out of black and white. Haha!

  • (Erik brings Christine into the cellars.)

    Erik: *is polite*

    Christine: *is horrified!*

    (Later--)

    Erik: *is kindly showing off*

    Christine: *is a rule-breaking IDIOT*

  • Man, this part doesn't really scare me, but I can clearly see why people in 1925 fainted!

  • is it wrong to like this version of erik and the 2004 version because I like both.

  • Man I wish I could have been laive in 1925 and saw it it the theatre!!!!!

    >people fainting around me

  • @FleetStreetWhore What makes Erik so special, romantic, is that he has nothing else in his life to live for, nothing to fall back on, she is his everything and the only person who ever showed compassion for him. Letting her go is the ultimate sacrifice for him, and its a sacrifice bigger than for most other men. He lets her go because of love, and love alone. The deepness of that love, that he sacrificing everything for love, that is what makes him truly romantic.

  • @FleetStreetWhore He IS insane. Very insane. And the way he loves her, makes it so that he could never be loved back. He kidnaps her, forces her.But has he ever known any other way? Have people ever treated him differently? I dont think he fully realizes how much it scares her, he does not seems to realize the violence is a much bigger reason to reject him than his face. He simply acts the only way he knows and does his best to please her.

  • 3:22 "If you love me..."

Ah, the famous "love" quote of stupidity. And then she contradicts herself.

Love the movie (more importantly Erik), hate the character and her stupidity.

  • @UselessRambling

They use to hand tint some scenes from the silent era to give it a little something extra. I had also heard when talking pictures were coming out they would do a lot more color in the silent movies to get more people to see them instead of the talking pictures.

  • @LindsayLovesErik Actually, I'm sorry I said that, I love Erik too....

"Erik's a good man!"--bellow from some random grandfather....

  • That's a face to frighten little children with.....
