A basic tutorial on using Cube Explorer to create your own custom algs for different 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube patterns.

** NOTE **:
I forgot to say in the video that in order to grey-out a cube square and make it undefined you right-click. I do this several times in the video but neglected to say what I'm doing - all I'm doing is right clicking the cube squares to get them undefined (grey).
REMEMBER: you have to leave one piece, for example both sides of the white/red edge piece, grey'd out in order to get the multiple alg window when solving. If the cube is fully defined (no grey) then you will only get one alg in the main window.

There are lots more features to the software that I don't cover here.

  • nice, but can it do other cubes too? like 2x2 and square-1

  • @rploeger No, I don't think so

  • when i click on add and solve, it goes straight into the window on the left, and so i dont get a chance to make it a 2gen or anything?

  • @wanabejoey You have to leave at least one piece, for example both sides of the white/red edge piece, grey'd out in order to get the multiple alg window when solving. If the cube is fully defined (no grey) then you will only get one alg in the main window.

  • Can I use this to help me solve my cube?

  • Yes, you can.

  • @rploeger you can do 2x2 if you only do the corners of the 3x3 :)

  • @rploeger maybe 2x2, since it´s just like the rubiks cube but it only has corners peaces. So you can just leave everything except the corners grey.

  • Very useful, thanks for the upload.

  • @rploeger a 2*2 is the same as a 3*3, where you just have to solve the corners, use the program without looking at the edges

  • this can help me solve my cube! YEAY

  • @rploeger yea a 2x2 if u blanked out all the edges.
