Sloppy Joe by Libby's Commercial

When I was in elementary school in the 1960s, the days the school served Sloppy Joes for lunch were the most popular lunch days!! So popular that some kids had to spit in their sandwich to discourage the 'thug' kids from taking their lunch!! Really, I wouldn't kid about something like that!! I never had to spit in my food (as I had equal respect amongst the thugs and the nerds), but some kids on the brink of getting their lunch taken would say "I spat in it already", and they'd get left alone (or shaken down for remaining cash only)?? Hard to tell spit in a Sloppy Joe, cause it was 'sloppy'...

...Anyway, enjoy the commercial, these kids dancing in the kitchen and eating...

Ground beef (or pork) in a can. I do love sloppy joe's, but only if it is made from fresh ground beef as it is today. But I never danced while eating a sloppy joe...well maybe once when I was drunk at a party.

Actually, I'd buy this product if I saw it on the shelves..maybe I'd be a better dancer!

That wthat they served us in Jr High in the 70s too. I used to put mustard on mine. They also used to give us really nasty tasting Barbecue Pork sandwiches too. BLECK! I mean about the pork, the sloppy joes were good.
