Joe: oh...umm right..

Demi: *smiles at him* okay then, you could wash them on the water and hand it to me when you're done.

Joe:...okay.

Demi : *smiles at him once more then starts to sit down near the fire to cook the chicken.*

Joe: *goes over the lake and washes the mushrooms* ugh. This sucks. Stuck doing some lame old chores. *rolls his eyes*

Demi: *giggles* Joe, you said you wanna change! *stripping the feathers*

Joe: *looks at her* well, yeah. but ..not now. Just, not now!

Demi: why is that? *pours hot water on the chicken*

Joe: *continues washing the mushrooms* because I'm not ready YET.

Demi....that's odd.

Joe:*smirks* that's the way I roll.

Demi: and this is the way I roll *points to her eyes--rolls her eyes in a joking way*

Joe: *sarcastic* very funny.

Demi: *laughs and puts the chicken on the hot water*

Joe: be....careful..

Demi:huh? *looks at Joe*
(she accidentally nudges the pot of hot water causing it to pour on her.)
Demi: ouuch!! *slightly screams*

Joe: Demi! *runs to her*

Demi: I'm *winces*....alright.. *sticks her tongue out*

Joe: no you're not! * touches the red spot*

Demi:*tries not to wince in pain*

Joe:....see?

Demi:*sighs* it's not that bad..

Joe: but it's red.

Demi: I know it's red! *giggles*

Joe: *sighs* *goes over to the water and dips the cloth in it*

Demi:*looks over at him* What are you doing?

Joe:*doesn't say anything, goes back to her*

Demi:*looks at him*

Joe: *damps the cloth softly on her*

Demi: *eyes widened*

Joe: *rubs the red spot with the cloth*

Demi:*blushes & smiles *

Joe:..It'll heal...*looks at her*

Demi:*smiles at him*

Joe:*gazes into her eyes*

Demi: *blushes knowing he's starring* ..err..

Joe: *snaps out of it* oh umm...I'm sorry..

Demi: Ermm.. yeah, well, I think we have to finish cooking.. *awkwardly smiles*

Joe:...yeah..

Demi:*goes back to cooking*

Joe:*sighs and continues washing the mushrooms*

(skip, skip, they finish eating)

Joe:*laying down on the grass beside Demi*

Demi:*looking at the stars* it's so peaceful.. *smiles*

Joe:*closes his eyes*..uhuh..

Demi: *sighs* do you ever think of getting back home? *turns to face him*

Joe:....yes, I miss my family.

Demi:..oh.. at least you have a family, though, right? *smiles weakly*

Joe:..I'm sorry, *sighs* you probably think I'm selfish now,

Demi: Don't be silly, you've been selfish the moment I met you. *laughs*

Joe:*chuckles* well, yeah.

Demi:*smiles*

Joe:...why haven't you left this place? I mean you must have relatives,right?

Demi: well, Joe, it's not that easy. All of my relatives don't know about my parents' death...

Joe:what?!?!

Demi: it's not like I didn't want them to know but it's that we don't have communication.

Joe: *sighs*

Demi: But it's alright... *smiles* I like living here.

Joe: good for you?

Demi *nods*
