@brycegoettman then why didnt he get a penalty or suspension? clean hit all the way
-
This is why the NHL has made reformations to the rules. There is no room for hits like this in the NHL. The no call on the ice isn't entirely damning but the lack of fine or suspension was and would be now unacceptable. I like rough, not dirty!

@MullyFilm um. this is illegal in all accounts, we play rough not dirty douche bag!

The crowd reaction tells you everything you need to know about this kind of garbage in the NHL...keeps booing anytime someone defends death on ice.

1:08 Was the door already there or he just cut out a new one?

@Fo3fan97 An elbow to the head isn't a clean hit. However, as a referee, I can tell you that a hit like that won't be called by most refs simply for the reason that he went in with his hips. When a guy hits with his hips, there's absolutely no intent to make contact with the head, since his arms are always going to be down on impact. It's the cleanest hit you can make. Normally, his arm would just hit the shoulders, but since Leopold was so low, Sutton's elbow contacted his head. Sorry, no call.

So Pittsburgh... You can give it out, but you can't take it back? Bunch of know-nothing bandwagon douche bags.
