Here on Juno's 8-week birthday I'm showing what she's learned; I started with "sit" and "stay" at 6 weeks and have moved on from there. We don't have a clicker or any real dog training knowledge (this is our first puppy). We've just used treats (usually tiny pieces of cheese) as well as praise for her motivation. Labs are smart and very eager to please!

  • Juno is still a fantastic dog; turned 2 a few months ago. She can do a few more tricks now and responds to lots of commands - it's amazing how much she understands. I have no regrets about getting her and she has been a great family dog (we have four young children) but Labs do chew up EVERYTHING and we only recently were able to start leaving her alone in the house for short periods of time. I love her personality and her intelligence; despite the puppie hassles I would get a lab again :)

  • It didn't turn off, mom!!!!

  • I have a 9 week old black lab and he can do soooooo much more than the one in this video. He can sit, shake hands, speak, pull up plants in the garden, eat stones and snails and get me up 3 times a night so that he can go out for a wee and a pooh.

Today he helped me do some plumbing work by biting me on the back of the head whilst I was laying under the sink. He can also totally ignore me apart from when I have a puppy chew in my hand.

Beat that for a well trained Labrador puppy!

  • @LordandGodofMusic Yea if you get one from a back yard breeder it can come with a crap load of health problems but that goes for all pure breds. Mine turned 8 weeks old today he had no food drive lol which makes it difficult to train him. Father is Master Hunter highest accomplishment through the hunt tests AKC. He is OFA hips good, OFA elbows normal, thiroid normal, CNM & CERF clear. Mother is Senior Hunter through the AKC hunt tests, She is OFA good hips, normal elbows, EIC, CERF & CNM clear

  • Beautiful dog! And not trying to be a buzz kill or a jerk here, but labs should not be jumping at all. They have weak joints; very prone to hip dysplasia, as well as skeletal disease.

  • I have a 5 year old chocolate lab named Aubrey & I absolutely adore her.

    So cute!

  • i love her ilove her ilove her :) im eight by the way

  • i love her ilove her ilove her :)

  • i love judo i have a dog just like him i live judo she is so cute

  • What a gorgeous chocolate lab! He's is very, very smart and you have taught him really well so far. Look for "Cinnamon", in my "very smart chocolate lab" video. She has some great tricks. They are amazing dogs in every way and you will be so happy with him!

  • You should not have your dog jumping that early... causing hip problems/ dysplasia or however you spell it
