Likely right around the corner. They're likely trying to make one with a long battery life, which is why it isn't out yet. The Macbook Pro is in need of an update anyway.
Some... no, I can't lie, PLENTY of people want a thin and light laptop. Now, I may not be willing to pay the price, but others surely would. Your comparison is total shit though, you need to compare similar CLASSES of hardware. You don't compare a thin and light to a consumer porduct, you moron. When I did my comparison, I compared Dell Hybrids to Mac Minis, Mac Pros to Dell XPSs etc. In all cases, equal specs did not equal the same price, with the cheaper one always being a Mac.
Are you kidding me? You're willing to pay an extra 1,000 dollars (actually more, considering the PC I gave as an example is superior) just so you will have to carry... What? 5 less pounds? You've got to be kidding me >.> Battery life, well I'm not sure and I don't feel like checking, all I know is I used it for as long as I wanted without it dying.
Apple MB940LL/A MacBook Air 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 128GB SSD HD, 13.3" LED Backlit Display costs $1,699. Our laptop has is 15.3", 2.4GHz, 4GB of RAM and it cost us somewhere between $700 to $800. Explain this to me then lol
