The Dump Dodd campaign is transitioning into a Block Blumy movement. After Chris Dodd quit his re-election bid, for whatever reasons, the Dump Dodd movement pivoted, and transformed into a Block Blumy campaign. Attorney General Richard Blumenthat is now considered the Democratic Party nominee for Dodd's seat. That makes Mr. Blumenthal the heir apparent and de facto incumbent.

In Haddam, Connecticut, on a Saturday night in mid February, a victorious town of Republicans helped keep the momentun turning by auctioning off a new Block Blumy yard sign. The sign shows indications of becoming as popular as the famous Dump Dodd sign, now among the political collections of the Museum of Connecticut History in Hartford.
