You shouldn't have to use a towel to remove a tame and sociable lovebird from their cage. Sometimes, removing a bird like this (with a towel) comes across like a predator attacking them. To tame a lovebird, you get them to trust you through positive reinforcement.

i do it like this: gain its trust by finger training it first then take it out when it trusts you. im like 12 and i have alot of expert in birds!
