I think we should cut these folks some slack. I saw the original with Ms. LuPone years ago, but this was for a telethon and they were working on a different stage, with a different orchestra at who knows what hour?

I'm seeing the Broadway revival of "Evita" on March 12, 2012, its first preview. Patti LuPone's interpretation is her own. Elena's way of singing is hers to make as she can. I'll be curious how it turns out.

The way this song is ment to be sang is SOOOOOOOOOO ridiculous!!!!!.

The tempo of the song is much slower than the original Broadway production. I am sure it is much easier for Ms. Roger to sing, but I prefer the more frenetic pace of the original.
