Since you guys enjoyed the clip I made showing how granular synthesis is done I thought I'de throw up what I've got done of Logarithmic Symphony so far. Remember this is a solo project and is not going to become a TAT song. Hope you enjoy :) If you like this kind of stuff check out BT. He inspires me more than anything else in the world. Go out and buy his new album "These Hopeful Machines" and I guarantee you will not be disappointed :D

  • what genre of music would this be considered? just curious

  • @ThaCoreythaOne This would be considered IDM :)

  • Would you mind telling me how Granular Synthesis is done?

  • Granular synthesis is the act of chopping a sound into extremely short peices and rearranging/repeating them. That way you can take any sound, repeat a small section of it at say 2kHz and then you have a 2kHz waveform with LOTS of harmonics. For a more in depth look at it search it on wikipedia :)

  • Just after listening to the first two seconds, I thought "BT would love this!" And then at 0:05 I read the caption. Kudos to you.

  • I've been listening to this song for a year and i still love it. I wish you could make more like this.

  • it awesome! ^_____________^

  • @thearkateks Ok I LOVE THIS. it inspires me to make a song like this myself but when I look at BT songs most of them are trance witch is fine (I like them) but there not like this :/

  • @thearkateks are there are set rules to IDM (intelligent dance music right?) like there is with dubstep, dnb, electro house, etc..? Or is it kinda like progressive rock/metal in the sense that there are no set rules?

  • @witeflight Thanks! ;DD

  • GODLY TUNE AT 1:00 loved this whole solo project :D

  • this would be good with the lyrics of sleepy head. Just with the vocals extracted and mixed
