With music by Raymond Hubbell and lyrics by John Golden, the song "Poor Butterfly" first appeared in the Broadway show "The Big Show" in 1916.
It has been recorded by many artists in the years since then.
Here it is played by Paul Morris on a 1919 Aeolian Residence Pipe Organ now installed in Exeter, Devon, UK.

A most appropriate piece to play on such an instrument. Nice to hear such an authentic sound which summons up the time when it was written. Most enjoyable.
