I see on here alott of people blaming Bush , Who are we blaming now still bush I guess he is the one still putting us in this mess we are in now wake up people....
-
its funny cuz Bush bankrupted every company he started up.. apparently he wasnt that good with the numbers so he left the business world to join his father in politics. and you guys are right, its not any one party of persons fault that we are in this mess. its all of our fault, including the American people who stood by and watched this downfall take place. after every war, this type of economy happens. we just had two wars, so this is expected
-
Anyone that tells you it's one group of people's fault is a liar. As in all aspects of life, most big mess ups are due to multiple things going wrong. That's how they get so bad.
-
I really wish you would all stop with this Left/Right, Democrat/Republican, Liberal/Conservative bullshit. The time has come for us to grow up and realize that the "two-party system" is a lie. Neither the Democrats or Republicans are in charge of economic policy, those decisions are made over the head of even the President, who by the way is nothing more than a puppet. All they do in D.C. is put on a show so it looks like we don't live in a fascist state.

What I was saying about the $3 trillion figure was that it was not representative of the current deficit, which is what I thought you were initially saying, but whatever.
-
To the best of my knowledge, granted I am not an expert in this, $3T is an estimate, possibly reasonable maybe not, of the COST of the current $1.3T deficit.
To balance that figure over some reasonable time frame Gov borrows the $1.3T and pays interest on it. In the end it allegedly adds up to $3T
Yep, quite a bit of conjuring there. And doubtless more than a few loopholes of assets and debts not included in the calculation.
TY 4 taking the time to make some clarifications of your position.
The hypocrisy of these Republicans on all issues is almost stunning in every respect. Every spending bill that has thus far been proposed by Obama has drawn their immediate and lasting consternation, while they never breathed a word of opposition to Bush's spending priorities, no matter how expensive. Republicans and conservatives on all levels are trying to forget or attempt to justify the various atrocities of the Bush admin even though nothing was too small for them to attack about Clinton.

Repeating the same tired platitudes does not make them true. Why don't you try thinking for yourself and not re-puking the idiocy you listen to on am radio.
