Cool video. Great song at the end.

@allenm541 I use the Micon-5 adapter, and it converts 48v Phantom down to plug-in power, which is what all the Rode lavs need. It works for me. Contact Rode with your issue, as they are very responsive, and will send you a replacement right out. But test your gear first to make sure you are actually delivering 48v on the channel.

@allenm541 So I've discovered that the HS1 isn't receiving Phantom Power. However, it should be, my audio interface works fine with my other condenser microphones and has 48V phantom power turned on. I'm using the Micon-5 adapter, which is listed in the specs as working with any 3-pin XLR with phantom power, which is what I have, but not working... did you run across any problems like this?
I don't comment on many youtube videos, but that was a great review. Thank you for not having a whiny voice as well. I know you did the song at the end, but would you say that it is good for singers? I move on stage with a guitar as well. Opinions appreciated.

@haydencohen Glad you liked the review! I think the HS1 is designed for speech, but could be used for singing. I used it in my "PinMic Song" if you want to search that. I recorded all the instruments/vocals of a song using only Rode lavs. The HS1 has the same capsule as the Lavaliere and the PinMic. But if I wanted to wear a headset on stage for a live band, I bet there are better sounding options and for less money. The HS1 is designed to be very small, and doesn't have full freq.
