BEASTS: BABY - 1976 ITV Play by Nigel Kneale.

The last 3 frightening and suspense filled minutes of an extremely well written, produced/directed and acted ITV play from 1976 called 'BABY' by the great Nigel Kneale and starring Simon MacCorkindale and Jane Wymark. This was the best of a series of 6 plays under the heading 'BEASTS' and scared the crap out of me back in
1976 when i was 12 years old. This play is proof that overblown sound/visual effects are NOT needed to produce an eerie, creepy and scary atmosphere and the total lack of any incidental music makes it even more frightening and realistic. Imagine it is you who has heard the creepy noises and is making your way down those stairs, what's down there.........?

my wife has gone on about this tv show since i met her in 1985!!! i have finally been able to track it down and see it....still scary now, in 76 she was seven...scared her to death and made me jump when i found it!!!

Coincidence. I was 12 too! Seem to remember it loosened my bowels somewhat. Also remember the ghost dolphin buddy boy one as well 'cos first time I saw lovemaking on TV.
