One of the best live performances by Big Country in New Years Eve 1983. Unique style, great lyrics and talented guys. The song is Lost Patrol.

  • bought this video wen i was 13 still haven't seen a band play wiv so much passion! saw big country 6 times latest wiv mike at oxford in april but 2 have been at this gig would av been amazing all u people who were there... u lucky f***ers!!!

  • @sadielumay yes indeed you where very lucky :-)

  • Very cool Big Country stuff ...raw and uniquely their own.

  • Great performance video by such a great and underrated band. Saw them in '93 in Atlanta. Stuart came out afterward and mingled. Such a down-to-earth and sincerely nice guy. Saddens me greatly that he is gone.

  • bought the video of that gig a little later ...me and some BC fans watched it always on New Years Eve for the subsequent years. Saw them a few times in Germany end of the 80s and mid of 90s - e.g. a "free" open air concert in Karlsruhe July 94 when it was raining like hell and people dancing in knee-deep mud... one of the best concerts ever... Stuart RIP...

  • if this band isnt in the hall of fame in music someone should be fired ive listened to alot of music and this band rocks r.i.p. stuart

  • Stuart was not the lead singer of the skids he was the lead guitar.

  • Thank you such a magical band god I miss them. It brought tears to my eyes. What unbelievable musicianship.

  • @peace0ff U2 existed several years before B/C but bono may have been influenced by The Skids lead singer which formed Big Country.

  • Without a doubt, one of the best bands in rock history. I was blown away by this concert and very fortunate to have caught it (unplanned). Stuart was an amazing artist. Thank you BC for your music.
