While this looks like a pain it actually is great for the tank to have it in there. It works like a great natural filter to keep extra nutrients down. I think the fish like the cover as well... If my goldfish were inside I'd feed them up.

  • oh my goodness that is a ridiculously long siphon cord. XD

  • @Okiimiru you know what they say about a man with a long siphon cord? They say "man, that's a big siphon cord"

  • Is that a custom aquarium hood on the 220? If it is can you make a video on how you made it. I want to know how to build a custom one.

  • @ThaDrSean I guess I've never showed you all that... I can bust something out... I need to make another one...

  • what are those bubbles on the right/ Co2 or normal air?

  • @harshwbajpai normal air. No Co2 on that tank

  • how do you have so much??? does it give off seeds and keep growing or something? theres so much duckweeds!

  • @MyGoldfishish go to a local pond or swamp this spring

  • HOB's are the enemy of floating plants. It was the only thing that could kill my duckweed

  • You can actually eat duckweed. Its supposedly high in protein and tastes like lettuce, Good survival food.

  • @Dustinsfishtanks So true, so true... *shakes head sadly*

But yea, it often will come in from plants you order or pick up from your local pond store. They would probably be happy to give you some if you bought plants from them.

Just expect to have to clean the top of the tank about every month.

  • Google "grow fish intensively" and you will find a guide to build an automatic duckweed feeder.
