@natem929 Heh, I myself have been playing drums on and off for the last 6-7 years... I've listened to a lot of Dave Weckl albums, got all of Gavin Harrison's instructional DVDs, and really learned a lot of drum-related concepts... I can't say if this guy from Converge knows what a metric modulation is, or how to play an inverted paradiddle-diddle, but I simply cannot jump to conclusion that he is "fucking ridiculous". True, I've seen better, but I've also seen a lot worse.

@Lesstra you also forgot that Mastodon starts with an 'M', whereas Converge starts with a 'C'. very noteworthy difference you missed out on there. very good dissemination nonetheless

Wow... that was the most intelligent argument over music found in a youtube video. Anyway I like both Mastodon and Converge (and DEP for that matter) but they're all so different because they fit a different niche. I do disagree on calling Opeth generic though.
