Translation:

fe el quds "In Jerusalem"

We passed by the home of the beloved

and were turned away from the home by the law of oppressors and its walls

And so it occurred to me that it maybe a blessing, for what shall I see in Jerusalem were I to visit it

You shall see all that you cannot bear, if from your path its houses are seen

And not every soul is joyful to see its beloved and neither is every absence (of the beloved) hurtful
