The ride to Osaka cost me 27,000 for two people... so 13,500 each? The ride back for some reason was 31,000 yen for two of us. It's expensive but well worth the experience. The trip is about a little over 2 hours long, but takes you right along Mt Fuji for a kick ass view. The train stopped in Yokohama, Nagoya and Kyoto if I remember correctly. LOTS of legroom in the seats, it's like first class flying, it's fantastic.
