One of the interesting things about this track is the dicotomy between the cheery upbeat feel of the music and what the lyrics are saying. This is the cry of someone who regrets breaking up with the person the song is sung to. Rather than sounding sad and remorseful, she sounds chipper and happy. This is not as unusual as you might think. A lot of hits over the years have had musical feels and lyrical content which contradict. An example: "Buddy Holly's 1959 "It Doesn't Matter Anynore."
