This tutorial shows you how to move your characters(not just for walking, though. It could be used for other things). It'll also teach you how to use a green screen. (:

You'll need:
-Sony Vegas Pro
-Internet access to www.maplesim.com
-A video recorder
-Picture of just plain green
-BannedStory character
-A background to put the character on

Hope it helps(:
Leave questions in the comments so I won't get confused.

Uhm, you should look for one on Youtube. The one I used a long time ago was deleted.

  • i have a few questions for using green screen. when i have separate clips of my char doing an action using greens screen, how do i put them in Sony Vegas so that they will be the size and place ? when i make a scene using green screen i have separate clips of my char doing different actions so that i can adjust the length of the action they are doing. Is there a better way? Also when i use green screen i can still see the green screen but its very faint.I'm not very good at explaining, sorry...

  • @TheMapleMoMo:

I actually don't do actions with green screen because I believe that it's easier to use pictures instead of videos.

Size-To do this, record the WHOLE green screen with the character on Bannedstory. Not only part of it for both.

Place-Don't move the character when it does the next action. Record the WHOLE green screen.

Faintness-If you used the green screen I provided in the description, you chose "Pure Green Screen". Pure Green Screen is the bright green.

  • I just have a question.

I don't use this method, I probably will, though.

But, sometimes the characters dissapear when I pan them to a part of a screen. Like, there is a certain part of the screen where the characters dissapear. How do I fix that?

  • @darkraichu55:

I used to ALWAYS deal with this.. xD

(It's easier to do this before using the Pure Green Screen effect)

Click the pan/crop button on the layer and look to the very left of the window that comes up. There should be the "show properties button" and 6 buttons below it.

Click the "Lock Aspect Ratio" button. Now you can drag the sides of the picture around to make it fit. (Try to cover up everything in green)

    Hope I helped! o:
