The are both gorgeous! :) I have a black and a brindle too. And mine also love splashing in the sea, but they won't swim.

AaH, it's a case of "desire". Now I understand. It's simple really. Greyhounds have figured out who is the servant and who is the master and the german shepherds have not, LOL

All 3 of my current greyhounds take off the second they are off leash, but our sweet Pheoebe that passed a couple years ago would stay. It took a lot of hard work, and the help of a black lab/grey mix to convince her to stay.

Why do you look at them? Nobody obliges you...

Do greyhounds enjoy obedience classes? They seem, on the vids, to be quite intelligent dogs.Thanx for sharing .

Greyhounds asre not the most indicated breed for obedience classes but I know of Greyhounds,
that enjoyed them and learned the obedience basics very well. It might depend on the individual.
My hounds learned basic obedience with me
since puppy age. Greyhounds are VERY intelligent but their desire to obey is not the same as a German Shepherd Dog for example...

I have a few questions about greys...
Do they like to swim?
Are most okay without a leash on, say, the beach where its not fenced in?
Beautiful video!

At least my Greys don't like to swim.
They just go with their feet into the water
and play a bit where it's not deep.
My Greys are fine without a leash at the beach far away from traffic. They are obedience trained and have an excellent recall. It depends on the dog.
