Wow that's slow, My 90 5.8l 4x4 can do somewhat better than that. But then again I have shift kit and mine never see's above 4200rpm.

Agreed. The power comes in at too high RPMs for a truck.

The 5.4 has a lot of power and torque just in the wrong places. Its a car engine.

Your truck sounds good. I got an '86 with the 302 EFI, they are good engines.

ya its a full resto, $15,000 later shes got metalic red paint, but keeping the two tone white, red, white.
