The ugly truth about California's Proposition 8...

I rarely do serious pieces, but this video exposes an important point I feel that voters in the state need to know about a rather ugly piece of legislation before they go to the polls. The sponsors of the initiative don't even think twice about exploiting the children they use for their ads.. nor for obtaining parental consent. It speaks volumes about their character. I urge all voters in my state to reject this out-of-state funded smear campaign. Things with marriage are fine in California as they are. This measure will cause yet more lawsuits in the state if it passes, wasting yet more money the state doesn't have in its budget. It will destroy the rights of several people I know and care about to get married. It's just plain wrong. Please, vote NO.

If love is consensual, its fine. Depending on how mature the 15 year old is, love between a 15 and 28 year old is going to usually be pretty one-sided and manipulative. People always try to group homosexuality with beastiality and pedophilia, which is a gross comparison.

And for the record, even if god WAS in the equation, nothing would be different. Religious nuts do fucked up shit all the time.

@JimHinCO there are negative comments about both homosexuals and Christians below, I double checked after you response. And yes "perhaps" Christianity is a choice, I do not think it is fair for people to discriminate against the whole people group of Christians. Just because a few outspoken Christians have been offensive, does not mean all or even a majority are. Also, is it a wise solution to persecute Christians because they have offended homosexual. Would not love be a stronger tactic?

None of what you quoted is relevant to Prop 8. The rules we live by in Christ are NOT the rules of the U.S.A. Where are you getting that you can apply 1 Cor 6:9 to Californians but then completely trash your ability to love your neighbor?

Your convictions are NOT the law of the land! Period. Read Romans 12.. Read Corinthians on what love is. Read that Jesus commanded us to LOVE our neighbors as ourselves.

1 Cor 6:9 KJV doesn't have homsexuals in it except for your cult interpretation. Enjoy.

People attack and abuse Christian daily, read the comments against Christians below. Homosexuals are not the only ones being abused. Please don't sterotype, can we please remember that each person is different.
