Hm, I rememebr the game saying the chains were bound to his forarms, so when they were ripped off he had the blade sof athena wrapped around his arms but not bound to his skin.

You know, you could have used rage of the gods... it gives you unlimited magic so the army of hades would have made quick work of the copy kratos. Besides, you cant use rage of the gods in the next sections so storing it is useless.
