Do you already prescribe Dutasteride (Avodart, or is waiting the FDA approaval for thie medicament? Seens FDA is almost approving Dutasteride. Am I right?

I found on web that Propecia blocks DHT1, but not DHT2. Dutasteride, not just block DHT2 from blood circulation but even from the secretion of sebum from oil glands on the scalp, which apparently affect hair loss. Can you confirm this doctor???

Finasteride(Propecia) blocks the Type II, 5-alpha reductase, which converts Testosterone to DHT. Dutasteride(Avodart)which blocks Type I and Type II 5AR is available as a prostate medication. Its use for hair loss is considered 'off label.' There are some pros and cons.
