http://live.pirillo.com - Mike Davidson asked Bob Lutz if GM is looking at various ways to recharge the new Volt batteries. With ever-increasing electricity costs, even homes are being built with more solar-powered capabilities to save people money. How then, will the Volt be able to save money and power?

  • All the automakers just don,t get it! It has to be affordable. What working person can afford a $40,000.00 car? If you guys at GM, Ford, Chrysler, and others can,t produce a decent electric vehicle in the $12-16 k range soon, YOU Guys will be Out of business. WAKE UP! Greed and inefficiency are killing you.

  • I would buy solar for my house if only the upfront cost was less.

  • lutz the klutsz is responsible for the bankrupting of GM, among others, thanks you fat greeedy corporate wall street hog!!!!

  • America and the rest of Christian countries have to depend on Muslim oil for the rest of your life. And surely this will drain your economy and Islam will have a stronger foothold in North America...

  • For about this price you can get a REAL electric car.. the Tesla S model

  • GM DIDN'T KILL IT?? Read about the EV1 and decide. They could have made electric cars YEARS ago! $40 grand for a "chevrolet prius" is a bit much.

  • @travelbytommy The problem with natural gas is the extraction proccess. During the fracturing process, many chemicals are pumped into the ground and contaminates the water supply. Half of the chemicals are recovered and the rest stays in the ground.

  • CNG is another option, and I have seen multiple light trucks here in Colorado using it. I think the biggest problem with green fuels is you get these annoying tree hugger types designing them so you get cars like the hybrid prius that are butt ugly green fashion statements that people like me can't get behind. Make a hybrid that looks like a Shelby Cobra (they make an electric one) and give it 400hp, they might get gearheads into it, but instead they insist on forcing it down our throats.

  • @travelbytommy Obviously we could never operate a gasoline engine on compressed natural gas. That would upset the order of the universe to use a cheap and plentiful American Fuel.

  • Lmfao! I love how at the start of the beginning of the video, they keep pronouncing Wind Turbines as "Wind Turbans" Lol! xD

  • blah blah blah blah blah

while Tesla motorcars sells all their 100K+ electric cars with no problem
