  • Needs more graphics horsepower.

    4x AMD Radeon HD 7970

    OR

4x NVidia GTX 680 (when they are released)

  • @FishamanP 4 x GTX 680's all the way!! Just waiting for release, although I'm just going for 2.

  • kinda, atm, ATM ive got i7 920 12gb 1600mhz 6x ddr3 on an asus i cant remember the name board with 2 gtx260 18gb gc, sli mode swiftech apogee 1366 waterblock swiftech v2 res, ek 120mm rad, 1/2" id 3/4" od red tubing, compression fittings, i think i covered most of it, but im gonna buy a 990x hexa-core i7, also what part of uk you from? and why you awake :P

  • @elliottjameswalsh Was really cheap in total, did come to about £235 in the end. How do you find the 260's in SLI? You would be best just waiting for IVY release now, but for the price don't think you can go wrong with Sandybridge bang for buck I'd own it over 980/990x... But I'm only a gamer, nice setup you have there though! I am eagerly awaiting release of Nvidia's Kepler gpus.... and with me using socket 1155 Z68 mobo I should be able to use IVY on current setup. From Merseyside btw, wbu?

  • @elliottjameswalsh I hink were gonna see a whole new level of performance with IVY. I bet with a 22nm were gonna see 5-5.2ghz being the norm 24/7OC for most people. With 6ghz plus for serious overclockers. Along with probably 20% IPC boost it will scream like a bat out of hell. Of course IVY-E would be right around the corner. With an obvious price premium. I can't see ne1 using more power if IVY is what it's supposed to be.

  • Nice cable management, very neat and tidy :-)

  • @elliottjameswalsh lol birmingham

  • @Bionikkzz i meant to put 1.8gb gc.,. erm the 260's in sli are surprisingly good, i can run pretty much everything in max only downside is theyre dx10 so no ultra dx11 on crysis 2. all in all ive paid about £400-£500 for what i got now i also got an enermax 1000watt psu which is brilliant. im gonna get a 990x for this build as this will not be my main gaming one, the ivy-bridge are suppossed to be roughly same price as sandy when new, or ill just go all out and buy a lga2011 hexa-core cpu :D

  • @elliottjameswalsh Similar setup??

  • @elliottjameswalsh haha! Brilliant... Yes, The Water Cooling Shop.
