@snowy1500 yes you can. a paid firefighter? no you cant, if you have a hearing problem.. but a volunteer firefighter yes. be advised a Firefighter isnt just about fighting structure fires. youll be called to car accidents, car fires, brush fires and many more. sometimes the situtation may be so hard to see. for example, fatal car accidents, fatal car fires, fatal house fires. if you have what it takes, go to your local fire dept and volunteer. good luck and be safe.

@snowy1500 you got what it take ? can you stand tall in a smoke fild room whit dead ppl every where... woud you give up your ore your partners life to safe somone ? .. i think you shud see the movie "ladder 49" and then if you are still up for it..go to your local fire department and talk to them... they might a idear :)

@rescue102 Hi I was wondering if you knew about career firefighting if you are a firefighter but my question is can you be a firefighter with moderately severe hearing loss in the left ear and full hearing ability in the right ear. Becuase where I live you are mostly a paid firefighter.

@snowy1500 The answer is yes I know firefighters that have been hired with a hearing aid, but it really depends on the department regulations. You just need to contact your local FD to find out
