  • well im not sure if it is tolerance, people have no spirit anymore and standing up against anything that someone else believes in is a big no no. I think tolerance is confused with rampant apathy, people just dont care. Its that simple. When you break down all morality and social taboos, then not bothering to question anything can easily be misconstrued as 'tolerance'. Im not in the least bit religious but i think we need to get back to some values that weve left behind.

  • Is it really tolerant? It is in the sense that the law says you are allowed to practice whatever religion you want, employers aren't supposed to discriminate etc. But what about attitudes? There's a prejudice against religious people in general, and the actions of Al Qaeda have led to a prejudice against all Muslims, whether they agree with Al Qaeda or not.
