It's funny how these people belittle someone who is making a difference in the world by what they are doing, at least this Org is doing something besides sitting around and trashing others on what they are and aren't doing...pitch your idea of solar stills and put as much effort and work into that as they have to this project, grow up and stop criticizing an organization who is helping others.

I believe it was Matt Damon who said that all Americans should be issued a passport and encouraged to leave the US and travel to other countries to see what the rest of the world is like. I totally agree. We have wealth and freedoms that many many others around the world don't have. So we have responsibility for protecting our freedoms and our citizens but we also have the responsibility for helping others and water.org is one smart and workable program. Hats off. I'll donate.

Another way to support initiatives like this in a tertiary way is to make more noise about how neo-colonialism by France, US, UK and many others have kept third world nations in their status by way of economic warfare via bad World Bank and IMF loans, despotic dictators and a whole host of 'weapons' used against the poor in this world to enrich banking cartels.

Wasn't Dean Kamen working on a water purification system a couple years back that was going to be able to process anything? I thought it was going to have the capability to actually process raw sewage into drinking water, no joke.

America is desolate to it's own terrible drought fate if people here do not research into the problems we face here. We can and will assure our own security of resources without dependence upon municipality or other dept. to give us info to be prepared in case of emergency. We usually find out too late, so kkep informed prior to any dangers. Today we here face many. Until we are !00% independent upon all of our own resources we will assure lttle for them and us. Wait I am confused? He is giving loans to the people? How is putting them in debt helping? I mean getting them good water is a really awesome thing but if I am understanding this then I hardly see this as a good deed. You are charging people with nothing, just so they can get a requirement for life. That should be free!
