Rachel Maddow explains WHAT the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) actually does say about Secret Elections -- that they are NOT prohibited by the New Bill, even though you will hear otherwise in massive Negative Ad campaign against EFCA. As she explains, unlike the GOP interests making their last stand against the American Worker here -- Rachel has actually READ the Bill -- if workers want it, they still can have a Secret Election. The only difference is that the Choice will now be up to the Workers -- NOT up to the Employer! (if the EFCA Bill is passed)

Rachel Maddow then interviews Andy Stern, president of the SEIU (Service Employees International Union) about the real intimidation forces at work, when employees currently attempt to start their own Union. Currently without EFCA about a third of all efforts to form Unions, results in firings of some of those trying to bring Democracy to the Workplace. Andy Stern agrees, any intimidation efforts, either by Management or Labor, should face the full weight of the current Labor Law, which prevents both. Intimidation is not tolerable -- and must be brought before the National Labor Relations Board -- even Management Intimidation, which is far more common now.

  • Unions are good for america. The only problem that occurrs is that supervisors get lazy and dont want to go to arbitration over write ups and they let things slide. America has stockholm syndrome with wall street. Wall Street is not your friend, has never been your friend or ally. Unions built the middle class. Germany has no problem with their unions, America does because it cuts into CEO and executive pay. how much money is enough for you? honest people deserve an honest wage.

  • SHE AINT BIASED.why the need of a bill for a different way ???this is where the union leaders will decide,if they differ from the vote. secret ballot is the democrat way.worker sounds so ussr

  • @ASentinel2 From the get go I can tell you have nothing to say because you don't offer any facts, only a smart ass ad hominem reply. Anyone that feels the need to be a grammar nazi on youtube is the biggest loser and a snob.

  • Rachel Maddow was reportedly found 'humping' a seat arm on the train while in New York for a brief holiday. She had taken XTC (witnesses said) and she found the movement of the train exciting-so much so in fact that she actually soiled her panty and uncontrollably had bowel movements while writhing back and forth on the seat edge.

This all became too clear when at one point she fell over due to the shifting of the care and the fecal matter smeared in her crouch leg & the floor became visible.

  • @snappa52 you're seeing a whole team of psychologists aren't you?

Corporations that don't need "arbirrations" are more successful.

Look what "arbitrations" have done for YRC, CF.....LOL What an idiot...

  • When did the kid from the Wonder Years become a news anchor?

  • But doesn't the EFCA allow for even a bare majority of workers to impose a union on ALL the workers, including that 49% that don't want it, in a workplace? Are there any specific provisions to prevent workers who didn't vote for it from being forced into it?? Other than the fact that that particular set of workers lives in one of only 22 states (to this day, remarkably) with right-to-work laws.

  • @DarrelfromZeeland You're a crackhead. Corporations have not been the backbone of america, ma and pa stores have, main street has. Now that the corporations have run main street out of business the economy can't bounce back as quickly as it did in the past. You are insane, and you are not a friend to the corporations or wall street. you're a useful idiot

  • @DarrelfromZeeland Did you know congress is supposed to declare war, not give the president authority to remain somewhere forever? Its called civics buddy, since you are sporting the american flag as an icon you should at least know a bit of its Constitution.

  • @snappa52 Illegal wars? Newsflash dumbass- we were attacked! Remember 9/11? Better to fight the mudscum over there than to fight them here. And the fascists were ATHEIST LIBERALS. Fucking National SOCIALISTS. I served 4 years in the Navy, dumbass. The GI bill is nothing but a Marxist entitlement. Uncle Sam doesn't owe you jack shit once you get your discharge. Every vet who ever accepted a red penny from the GI Bill is a fucking thief.

  • @snappa52 Newsflash dumbass- there's no such thing as "human rights". There never has been, there never will be. There are only human privileges. Corporations are the backbone of America. Anything that benefits them makes this country stronger. I'd rather see kids working for a few pennies a day than shitting in a schoolyard, joining gangs, and selling drugs. They aren't learning anything in school anyway. Today's kids are nothing but whiny spoiled brats and lazy worthless entitled punks.

  • @DarrelfromZeeland whats wrong with the GI bill? You are the fascist buddy. Those people are abroad protecting your psychotic ass and you want to take away their best and basically only benefit? Were you in the military?
