雪螺传奇~宗喀巴大师舞台剧 (Legend of the Conch Shell)

大馬首部以西藏文化藝術呈現的舞台劇，由克切拉團體榮譽出品，著名的廿一世紀心靈導師尊貴的詹杜固仁波切為顧問，以制作嚴謹在戲劇界極富盛名的導演文復聲執導，藝術舞蹈家­李瑞強，本地名服裝設計師Bill Keith、Eric Choong等人參與制作，即將在繽紛的12月17日至19日隆重公演！

《雪螺傳奇》是一部以舞蹈藝術，精神內涵，根據華麗、史詩式的歷史格局而改篇的劇本。舞台劇的設計以西藏宗教、文化及藝術為中心思想，呈現古典、華麗又不失淳樸的風貌，可­說是一部穿梭於傳統及現代潮流之間的舞台劇。向以詮釋日本《壽板舞踏》著名的藝術舞蹈家李瑞強，此次突破性地改變他一貫個人的舞蹈風格，研習演繹作風奔放，豪邁的西藏舞台­劇，他興奮地表示，這是一個全新的展現平台！

A new theatrical production introduces the extraordinary life of a historical saint.

The Kechara Buddhist Organisation will introduce to Malaysians the first-ever stage performance on the life story of the iconic Tibetan Saint, Lama Tsongkhapa, who founded the fastest growing school of Tibetan Buddhism in the world today.

The Legend of the Conch Shell will be directed by Woon Fook Sen, and will be backed dancer Lee Swee Keong, well-known celebrity fashion designers Bill Keith, Eric Choong and others, with Lee Swee Keong portrays portrayings the main role of Lama Tsongkhapa.

Rich with Tibetan culture and imagery, this much-awaited public performance will run from December 17 19, 2009 at PJLA, Jaya One, Petaling Jaya.

I know, JP Thong used to be on an acapella singing/choir group called Wicked Pitches. I have seen his videos on Youtube.

There are more performers in Kechara! I watched a performance before, by the Head Liaison of Tsem Ladrang, JP Thong.

James was trained as a classical singer, and has won awards in regional singing competition.

I remember reading about the Head of Kechara Saraswati Arts, James Long, involved in the musical Jewel of Tibet.
