I had the fretboard replaced on an old guitar for 200 euros.
Additionally the saddle was re-adjusted for intonation.
You decide if it's worth it, the sound is good.
Find a luthier.

Decent sound and I could almost feel your effort on it.

LOL....I'm looking to buy a classical guitar at a local pawn shop and this is the first result Google gives me.
Good sign? I hope so....gonna go buy it tomorrow before someone grabs it up!

Thanks, that's a compliment since I'm not a classical player and this guitar is really hard to play. The action at the 12th fret is almost a quarter inch!!!

that's a very decent sounding classical to be at a pawn shop!

I picked it up for $50. The action is very high, thus making it very difficult to play. Also, can't play any songs beyond the 8th fret, unless you're only playing the High E string only!!!! Switching from chord to chord is also very hard to do smoothly.

is it because the neck angle is bent so much forward? or is the saddle just too high? in other words, if you pull the saddle out and let the string just rest on the bridge - what string height would you have at the 12th fret?

Actually I sanded the saddle as much as I could. Obviously this guitar sat for years with the strings on and it was hardly ever played. Good lesson for those who store their guitar without taking the strings off.
