Family Portrait

Rob Brown's directorial debut, the award winning short drama FAMILY PORTRAIT stars Elizabeth Elvin (STATE OF PLAY, BBC1) and Michael J Jackson (BROOKSIDE, Channel 4). After months of threats and years of physical abuse a terrified mother calls emergency services when her estranged husband turns up with a gun. She fears for her life as her violent husband unexpectedly returns to the family home. On calling the emergency services for help, an anxious operator tries to comfort and reassure her that help is on the way. As the noises get closer and closer to discovering her hiding place, she realises that her son is home. Contrasting photos of domestic bliss and old family videos with a harrowing dialogue, the film captures a nightmarish moment in a mother's life.

I love this film, very intense. Very good acting aswell.

I can't believe you got Michael J Jackson in your film and you only gave him 3 words, he's such a good actor you could have made better use of him. Apart from that, it's great.
