There was almost 1,000 yards of offense between the two teams. OSU blows a last minute chance to beat the Sooners. (Game played 11/5/1988.)

I was brought back to this by Doug Gottlieb's radio show. Parker was a senior at Capo Valley HS when I was a freshman. I had no interest in OU / OSU, but paid attention because Parker was playing. I remember discussing the play the next day at school. Very disappointing. Gottlieb made it out to be worse than Bartman and Buckner. Really?

The flag was because Limbrick said "F*** You!" to the official at the end of the play. Limbrick was talking trash to Dillon as they crashed into the sideline, the ref told him to knock it off and Limbrick dropped the f-bomb on the ref. I know this because I was right there when it happened and my friend is the camera guy you can kind of see under the pile of players. So it was a good call but in the end not critical to the outcome of the game.

OSU got screwed in my opinon with that late hit call. How can you make a call like that??? Of course Brent had a chance to win it and dropped it. Seems like OU catches every lucky bounce, penalty, or turnover possible to win. OSU last year wins if Blackmon is 100%, OSU win in 08 if all those tipped balls werent batted right to sooner players. Lol whatever!
