To demonstrate our IceField engine and the fact that we can make 3D MMOs in Flash, our team worked on a prototype called Neema Project. It will be featured at the Adobe Max event in Los Angeles, and at the GDC Online.

Neema is a 3D Hack and Slash in a beautiful Mayan environment. The game will support up to 4 players in coop. The goal is to kill as many critters before the sun goes down.

It uses the latest flash technology (Stage 3D) and includes AAA like physics and navigation mesh.

  • @m1dlguk Is that why Epic Games and Crytek are releasing their technology on the Flash Platform????

  • @m1dlguk And for the record I didnt click spam. You're entitled to your opinion, I just think its naive and I disagreed.

  • I'll not mark you as spam the way it appears you and your motley gang have, just for voicing an opinion, I'll let you have your free speech. Just respect that before slagging me off, I too am also entitled to an opinion. Flash being owned by Adobe is released when Adobe wants, regardless of how poor the code is, yet HTML5 will be more open and accessible to all, and will be more secure in the long run. HTML5 even in it's youth really is Amazing and is the next step in this technology.

  • @fknsupa HTML5 is amazing, your statement doesn't disprove that. shouting me down for pointing out that Adobe are trying very hard to justify an insecure, buggy, and bloated has been. HTML5 is still light and has superseded the performance of Flash and HTML5 is also capable of supporting whole gaming engines without too much work. Already projects have demo'd the Quake engine working as if it was native code, followed by the Half-life engine, other gaming engines have been demo'd too.

  • @m1dlguk In an interview with TechRepublic, Hickson guessed that this would occur in the year 2022 or later. Do some research before opening your uneducated "mouth". Wikipedia HTML5

I dont support IE but clearly there's a problem with a new technology when its not supported on a largely used browser. It will take years before HTML5 can be used in the corporate environment. Only top developers are aware of these issues. So I guess it makes it clear your type?

  • @m1dlguk Ian Hickson, editor of the HTML5 specification, expects the specification to reach the Candidate Recommendation stage during 2012. The criterion for the specification becoming a W3C Recommendation is "two 100% complete and fully interoperable implementations".

  • @m1dlguk I'd like to see you make this in HTML 5 :)

  • flash ftw!
