  • Great idea for breakfast. I purchased quinoa @ nuts.com at a reasonable price. One question. I'm a food controlled diabetic. Is carob powder have natural sugar not to spike my blood count? Thank-you Heather

  • @ageless15 carob shouldn't have too much of an impact on your blood sugar levels, especially in small amounts. it has less natural sugars than fruit, but depending on how careful you need to be you could try a little bit first to see how it goes for you

  • I love Quinoa but I never had for breakfast =D Thanks for your recipes and healthy vegan and positive energy vids!!

  • @bird1751 thanks, I hope you enjoy the recipe :)

  • @healthyvegan sounds cool i didn't mean that as a pun at all it was just out of curiosity

  • Thanks very much for the quick reply Heather!!

  • You're really pretty.

  • wow great looking recipe, im going to try it out tomorrow (with soya milk and organic dark choc coco powder though) thanks for the inspiration

  • Qinoa naturally comes with a bitter taste -to stop birds eating it. Rinsing it with cold water a few times before cooking removes the bitterness.

  • Quinoa is an Incan super food/protein originated from PERU, highly regarded in that culture for its nutritional benefits. Just a quick fact, Thanks :)

  • Never thought of eating quinoa for breakfast! Thanks for the recipe, i struggle at coming up with vegan breakfast dishes that aren't juices/shakes
