i totally forgot that a video like this needs some clarity, as i assume most people are not used to this 'style'. yes, this is a style. not your typical no effects video with chronological sequencing and lyric matching; hence why some of the scenes may not 'make sense' where they are.

i learned to think and edit like this because of melissa and newborn's videos. for me, now that i see how they opperate and how they 'work', it can't be unseen; i could never make that typical lyric-music matching video with minimal effects. this is about..hmm..theme-sequencing. wrapping your brain around a certain theme found in that particular movie, and then editing around it, highlighting particular emotions the characters feel, particular moments in their lives, particular relationships, whatever it may be. the primary thing i learned from this type of editing is that it 'ignores' the music, essentially. the music and what it is 'saying' or portraying is not important, and from that i realized that i could edit with any song i wanted to and not be restricted by lyrics, and it felt freeing, and more challenging, which is why i often struggled to edit this way. but now that it's complete i'm proud of it, because i know what i'm looking for when i see it. and if it pleases the people who can understand what i was going for *cough cough* melissa *cough cough* chrissy poo* then i'll be more than proud anyway ^^

i literally made this in 2 days. it was a spur of the moment boredom thing and then all of a sudden i was almost done with it.

hmm well what is there to say? i think i'm pleased? i knew i wouldn't be able to fully let go and edit the way i usually do until i uploaded something with 'emotional substance'. i'm not usually good at that sort of thing xD so here is my attempt at emotion! i thought putting effects in it would get in the way of that, so i left it as a no effects video.

i heard this song on my daddy's ipod! so i stole it :3 it kind of touched me a bit and i thought of trying to make something nice and heartfelt with it

well now that this little sucker is out of the way, i can polish off some of the other things i've been working on (like that mix which is actually coming on greeaat) and another video i was working on as well.

anyway i hope some of you like this. i know these aren't the most popular things xD but i'm teaching myself to not care about what i upload u.u anywayy leave a comment let me know if this was worth the watch and the wait xD (i take forever to upload i'm sooorrrry i'm never satisfied)

The "style" you're talking about is called proper editing, and you didn't pull it off very well at all. For me, the part from 1:50 to 3:00 was the highlight. The first time watching I was like 'meh'. Then I got it, though I can't explain it...I 'feel' this video. The transitions between the sad and happy-ish clips were perfectly placed.
