Flat out amazing!! I heard Michael's big band on America's jazz radio station KKJZ this morning playing Miles Davis' "Four" (from the CD "Grace") as a ballad: beautiful and exciting. I'm a jazz fan and have never heard of Michael but I'm NOW a fan. He's a direct descendant of JJ Johnson, Kai, Jimmy Cleveland, Slide, & Steve. Bravo, Michael Dease. A star is born!!

I just randomly stumbled on this guy and I am floored! This guy definitely holds a place up top with the heavy hitters like Slide Hampton, JJ Johnson, and Bill Watrous.
