Palmer most likely would be picked before Myers given what he has shown in his first year. But Myers is well on track to be a top quality AFL player so Essendon would still be very happy.

If you weren't a one-eyed Bombers supporter you would realise that any club would pick Palmer over Myers if they had their time over again. Ask most AFL supporters, they probably haven't even heard of Myers.

Myers isn't just a leader he is a gun prospect aswell. Just because Palmer had an amazing first year does not mean that Myers was an awesome pick-up as well.

Also calling Palmer a future Brownlow medalist is a bit stupid.

Palmer is a gun. But you just don't pass on 190cm+ midfieders who can kick 60m bullets, let alone someone with the leadership ability of Myers.
