I love switched at Birth I think signing is a beautiful thing. I have been trying to learn for years but all I can do is spell out every word :/ My cousin is deaf, and I always try to talk to him but it is so hard sometimes because I feel dumb when I spell out the words so I end up just writting it down on paper. But stay strong! your amazing!

@daydreamerkai That's awesome Kailey. I admit that I'm jealus. I want to meet a deaf person before I die. I only know how to sign a few words. -Taylor
@daydreamerkai I saw the episode with Marlee Matlin. When you said hard-of-hearing do you mean completely deaf or can you still hear slightly?

@chesskid20 I met Marlee on a go-see! :) but yes, I can hear slightly :) Marlee is completely deaf. In otherwords, I can hear alot more than she can...in comparison.

@daydreamerkai Is it hard being deaf? I'm hearing, but have been teaching myself sign language.

@chesskid20 It can be tough at times, but for the most part, I am proud of who I am. It is what made me who I am today. Through all challenges, I had to learn hoe to defend myself, and so much more! Good luck in your learning sign language! :)
If you are interested, check out the TV show on ABC family "Switched At Birth" , it comes on Monday nights. OR look it up on Hulu.com. :) It really showcases the deaf world pretty well and I can realte to the main character. Anyhow, good luck! :)
