There were people living in these regions before Arabs came out of Arabia; any Berber, Copt, Nubian, Phoencian, Assyrian and Chaldean can tell you this, not that you'd really be interested in listening.

@SatchmoSings Yes, officially we are an Arab country but we are definitely not native ONLY to Arabia. I identify as Egyptian. and saying "we should all just go back to Arabia" is much like saying (and even worse) than saying that all the blacks in the US should just go back to Africa which is in my opinion, pretty racist. Also, a major fact you missed, ALL 3 religions are native to Arabia. All Jews, Christians and Muslims are originally Arab.

@2qewl4u Well, to your last statement, that's largely true much in the same way that the people of Latin America are not clearly of Spanish descent.

Still, this does not change the fact that it was Spain that conquered these regions and left their "blood" behind them, much as the Arab conquest in the early 640s AD has also left its own imprint on wherever it went.

Obviously there is something called "The Arab League" and its 22 member nations ARE headquarted in Cairo.

@SatchmoSings But the Jews are not actually native to that region (the Jews that left, there were many Jews living in Palestine alongside Muslims and Christians before Israel was created). They left that region thousands of years ago and are now majorly European. Also, Egyptians are not just Arab you know, it's naive to think so. We have a long history before that. We have been occupied so many times that we are a mix of many backgrounds : Greek, Turkish, Arab and a tiny bit of ancient Egyptian.

The Zionists should stay in Palestine; it is the Palestinians, who are ARABS who should leave and just go back to Arabia.

@disdoncable The Islamist government, much like that of the Mubarak one, definitely wants the US Aid of billions a year to continue and is actually threatening to break the peace treaty with Israel if the US doesn't continue this money.

The Islamists will make Egypt into an Islamist state, much like Shi'ite Iran is, without the big oil wealth to fall back on; I say let the Egyptians have their Islamic Lysenkoism; it will go nowhere but DOWN.
