UPDATE: It appears that the Xbox 360 version of this game and the Gametrak Freedom controller have been cancelled, or at the very least indefinitely postponed.

Preview of the upcoming Squeeballs Party with the included Gametrak Freedom Motion Control handset controller for the Xbox 360 released by PDP.

This product is currently scheduled for release on October 15, 2009 for a suggested retail price of $79.99. You can already pre-order it on amazon.com for $69.99 (see our link below).

Additional controllers are expected to also be made available for $20-$30. However, Squeeballs lets you share the one controller that is included. The Gametrak Freedom uses two sensors that you place next to your screen to pick up the 3D movements of the handset.

It would be awesome if the Gametrak Freedom could possibly be hacked or by pure coincidence work with regular Xbox 360 games. Given that it has a D-pad and the A, B, X, Y buttons, it should at least functional in a variety of Xbox Live Arcade games.

Imainge playing Halo with this device? Someone will need to make an Engery Sword adapter out of plastic / styrofoam.

As for the the OEM Microsoft NATEL motion control technology, it's not even expected to be released until at least 2010. With NO word on pricing or a firm release date, Squeeballs and the Gametrak Freedom could possibly wet your appetite for Motion Control on the Xbox 360.
